5 String Bass

As I have made a few guitars now I thought I would try my hands at a bass guitar. This is my own design which I think looks quite nice. I made the string spacing 18mm as 19mm+ seems a bit wide. As per my previous Jade Green Stratocaster, I made the neck with Sapele and the fretboard from Sapele and Ash in a diagonal pattern radiused to 16 inches. The headstock is in a 3-2 configuration.

I had a spare neck from an exiting project which I wasn't happy with, so as I had some Oak lying around and decided to make a guitar body for it. I was watching random videos on YouTube and came across someone hydro dipping a guitar. The result was amazing so I am going to give it a go and see what happens. Not too sure on the colours yet. The neck is made of laminated Sapele and Ash which continues up into the neck of the headstock, which has an Ash top. The fretboard is Ash which is radiused to 12 inches.
